Kipp Closes Out Memorable Career
Shalaya Kipp(IntPhys, Psych’14) capped her CU track & field career by finishing fifth in the NCAA Championship’s 3,000-meter steeplechase and earning All-American honors for the 10th time in her career, including four times in the steeplechase.
Kipp came in as the pre-race favorite, having won the steeplechase at the Pac-12 meet and at the 2012 NCAA Championships.
“She’s had an amazing, wonderful career,” coach Mark Wetmore said.
SeniorEmily Hunsuckerwas also an All-American, placing second at the NCAA meet in the hammer throw after winning the event at the NCAA West Regional.
Also landing an All-American spot — his fourth — wasJoe Bosshard(Acct, Fin’13, MBA ex’15), who finished seventh in the NCAA 10,000 meter.

Club Sports Make National Impression
CU club sports left their mark in 2014, claiming a remarkable five national titles by summer.
The triathlon squad won its fifth consecutive national championship and was joined by swimming and diving, four-time winners, and men’s freestyle skiing, which has won four championships in six years. Also at the top of their respective sports were men’s lacrosse and men’s ultimate frisbee. In addition to team honors in ultimate,Jimmy Mickleclaimed the Callahan Award, given to the nation’s top male and female college ultimate players.
