Our Team
Mission Statement
Coloradan aims to inform, inspire and foster community among alumni, friends and admirers of the °µÍø½ûÇø, and to engage them in the life of the university. Published by the CU Boulder Alumni Association, the magazine appears in print three times annually (fall, spring and summer), and online.
Inclusive Storytelling and Communication
The Coloradan magazine strives to practice inclusive storytelling in every aspect of the publication — from generating ideas and considering pitches to interviewing sources and developing copy, photos and art. Our goal is to uplift and share stories that represent a wide range of CU Boulder experiences while working to develop a deeper sense of belonging for all students, faculty, staff, alumni, fans, donors and community members. We take action through practices that support diversity, equity and inclusion — the cornerstones of our editorial decision-making. We follow the guidelines stated in the Inclusion, Diversity and Excellence in Academics (IDEA) Plan — CU Boulder’s blueprint for diversity, equity and inclusive excellence — to positively contribute to the university’s goals for campus climate, infrastructure and leadership.

Coloradan Advisory Council
The Coloradan Advisory Council provides suggestions and perspective to the editor of the Coloradan magazine, including topics of coverage for each issue. Members draw from a number of sources, including CU faculty, alumni, students, donors and community members. This council facilitates connections with people inside and outside CU whose life, work and experiences represent the university. They also provide commentary on recent issues and offer guidance and expertise as the magazine and the Coloradan Conversations events evolve.
