Internships

Sharpen your research, close reading, critical thinking, and communication skills in a professional environment. Explore different career possibilities while still working on your English major.

Apply for one of 20 internships available to junior and senior English majors with a GPA of 2.5 or higher for 3 academic credits. Internships are competitive and reward qualified, self-motivated students.

Registration:

  1. Read the list of available internships and complete an internship application.  Applications to participate in the English Internship program in Spring 2025 are now due on Friday, October 25 by midnight.
  2. Please plan to schedule an appointment during the week of October 28. Prior to participating in the internship course, applicants are required to meet and discuss interests and career goals with program director Rachael Deagman Simonetta. Applicants will be contacted to schedule the interview after the application deadline passes.

The department also allows students to solicit their own internships (and partnering sites).

For further information, contact Rachael Deagman Simonetta.
