Events with Alcohol: Law students are typically of legal drinking age, but we believe alcohol should not be served at most student organization events. Many legal employers and bar associations are reevaluating alcohol at professional events to promote lawyer well-being. Hosting on-campus events with alcohol requires significant planning and compliance with University policies, so the Office of Student Affairs rarely approves such events.
If students wish to serve alcohol, we recommend hosting events at off-campus venues licensed to serve alcohol. For any plans involving alcohol, schedule a meeting with Dean Horowitz by emailing law.studentaffairs@colorado.edu.
