Event Net Proceeds and Tax Information:
75% of the net proceeds will benefit the Dean's Fund for Excellence (D-0025542), which provides support to scholarships, programs, and initiatives consistent with the vision and mission of the law school and the Dean, and 25% of the net proceeds will benefit the Law Alumni Scholarship Fund (D-0038191). Funds are held by the CU Foundation pending distribution. Estimated Fair Market Value (EFMV) of the event is $90.00 per ticket. Sponsorships and program recognitions may be a tax‐deductible contribution less the EFMV of goods and services received, as follows: Diamond: EFMV of $2784 Platinum: EFMV of $1856; Gold: EFMV of $928; and Silver: EFMV of $720. All gifts in support of the University of Colorado are processed and receipted by the University of Colorado Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable entity, Tax ID number: 84‐6049811. Please consult your tax advisor.
We welcome sponsorships from individuals and corporations. In light of IRS clarifications of charitable donation rules, the University of Colorado cannot accept sponsorships from donor advised funds, private foundations, or qualified charitable distribution from a donor’s IRA (QCD), unless the sponsor waives all benefits from the sponsorship, including attendance at the sponsored event.
Refunds:
Refunds can be made until February 23, 2024. Registrants who cancel by that date can elect a refund or donate the registration fee. After February 23, 2024, no changes can be made.
