UROP’s Curiosity Lab virtual workshops areÌýopen to all undergraduates interested in exploring opportunities for experiential learning.

Purpose and Format

All workshops are hosted on Zoom and last approximately 30 minutes.Ìý Sessions areÌýdesigned to support students at any stage of their undergraduate career—and with any level of experience.ÌýEach workshop begins with a brief topical presentation and follows with student-centered discussions driven by the needs of participants. Participants can registerÌýat any time, using the form linked on this page.Ìý Reminders about upcoming sessions are sent to all registered participants, whoÌýmay join any topic of interest.Ìý Resources will be sent to all registered participants after each session.

What is experiential learning?

Experiential learning involves a cycle of engagement and reflection in which you learn by reflecting on the process of applying your learning, or doing.ÌýUndergraduate research and creative work is one of the many ways to engage in experiential learning on campus and beyond.ÌýInternships, community service and other activities develop skills valuable to employers from communication to time-management. These activities can also help youÌýdiscover new interests and refine career plans while connecting you with supportive networks that can guide and enable.

Arts & Sciences' Studio Lab

Studio LabÌýadmits undergraduate students who are matched with mentor-led projects from a wide array of disciplines in the College of Arts & Sciences. Mentors include faculty members, Ph.D. candidates, and full-time researchers at CU Boulder. We hold social events for our students and mentors, and an end-of-year reception at which everyone presents their work. The next application deadline is Nov. 22, 2024.

Honors Journal

The Honors JournalÌýis an interdisciplinary, student-run journal published annually by the Arts & Sciences Honors Program under the supervision of a faculty advisor and the Director of the Honors Program. The journal accepts undergraduate work from all academic and creative fields, and any undergraduate at CU Boulder can submit work for publication. The next submission deadline is December 31, 2024.
