Office Location

SLS is located on the third floor of the University Memorial Center (UMC) in room 311. Use the campus map and one of the wayfinders in the UMC to locate the UMC from another location on campus, and the UMC map on this page to locate the SLS office from another location in the UMC. The UMC wayfinders are on the first floor across the atrium from the CU bookstore and on the second floor to the right of the elevator.

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (School year)
7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Summer)
Our office is open year-round except during university holidays and closures.

Because we have a small staff and the attorneys are often in court, we are sometimes unavailable. If we are unavailable, feel free to stop by again. You may also leave a message at 303-492-6813. 

Our confidentiality promise

Students who visit SLS are entitled to the same confidentiality all lawyers in Colorado provide to their clients. We will not talk to anyone about a student's case (e.g., family members, the university or ) without the student's permission—except in a .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mailing address

All mail sent to our office via the US Postal Service and all mail sent to our CU building address is delivered to the campus mailroom then routed through the CU mail system. This process can delay the delivery of mail to us by several days. To be sure that we receive mail by a certain time, send it to our street address via an expedited service such as those available from FedEx or UPS.

Presentation requests

SLS offers presentations to student and campus organizations on request. Our outreach efforts focus on individual constitutional rights, how to deal with the police, the Student Code of Conduct, knowing what to look for in an apartment lease and other similar topics. 

Call SLS at 303-492-6813 or visit us in UMC 311 if interested in having us give a group presentation.
