During the course of his two decades as dean of the College of Music, Daniel Sher has been instrumental in far-reaching accomplishments at the college. Now he is preparing for a new challenge. Sher will step down as dean at the end of the 2013 spring semester but will continue as a member of the faculty.

CU Police investigating attempted sexual assault on west end of the CU-Boulder campus

The Police Department is investigating a report of an attempted sexual assault on the west end of campus near Broadway. On April 27, 2013 a female CU student reported to police that around midnight she was attacked near the Broadway bike path while walking home from a party on the Hill. According to the victim, the suspect approached from behind, pushed her to the ground, placed a pair scissors to her throat, and began to remove her clothing. The female struck the suspect in the face and was able to flee the scene.
