Join CU President Bruce D. Benson for the Boulder campus spring town hall on Wednesday, April 24 at 2:30 p.m. in Old Main Chapel. President Benson will deliver an update on the state of the university, followed by a question-and-answer session with audience members. Although we may not have been able to hear from every student, we have made a concerted effort to reach as many students as possible.

Engineering Days, Spring Design Expo scheduled at CU-Boulder

Engineering students at the °µÍø½ûÇø are gearing up for several days of intensive activity next week, when they will celebrate Engineering Days and display their hands-on design projects at the annual spring Engineering Design Expo. Engineering Days, or E-Days, is an annual celebration of the engineering profession organized by the University of Colorado Engineering Council, or UCEC, and student honor societies. Activities include a water rocket launch, high school and college egg drops, a carnival and other fun activities for students.

CU-Boulder Chancellor Philip DiStefano names 11 Strategic Advisory Council members

°µÍø½ûÇø Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano today named 11 members to his Strategic Advisory Council. DiStefano unveiled the council concept last fall at his State of the Campus address, saying it would it help him and the university’s combined leadership to “make innovations in how we serve students, continue to build and sustain our reputation in Colorado and across the nation, identify support for new research collaborations and revise our fiscal and organizational model to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.â€

Join the Rec Center for '26.2 for Boston' on April 22

On Monday, April 22 the CU Rec Center invites the CU community to show support for the city of Boston, Boston Marathon runners and spectators and the running community by picking any type of movement and doing "26.2." Run or walk for 26.2 minutes, lift, stretch, breath or do whatever is inspiring to honor those lost and injured in the bombings in Boston on April 15.

Leeds class visits Warren Buffet

A group of 19 °µÍø½ûÇø students and one faculty member recently received the chance of a lifetime to visit widely known philanthropist and investor Warren Buffet in Omaha, Neb. Several times a year, Buffet invites eight colleges with 20 representatives from each school to Omaha for a day of tours at his Berkshire Hathaway subsidiaries, lunch at one of Buffet’s favorite local restaurants, and a Q-and-A session. This year, CU-Boulder was on that list.

Student energy startups compete for $100,000 in DOE-sponsored CU Cleantech challenge

CU-Boulder students continue stellar record in international math modeling competition

Two °µÍø½ûÇø undergraduate student teams have been named among the 11 top winners from a field of 5,636 teams that entered the 2013 international Mathematical Contest in Modeling this spring. Only 375 teams, or 6 percent of those entering the contest, were from the United States. The others were from Canada, China, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Mexico, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
