Provost Russell L. Moore announced CU-Boulder has resumed the administration, management and governance of a bachelor鈥檚 degree in environmental design with the start of the 2012-13 academic year, and is beginning a visioning process for how to fully integrate environmental design into the wide array of related programs on the Boulder campus.

Lorenzo Herrera, a senior from San Diego, came to CU-Boulder with a definite objective and has not wavered from that purpose. Reflecting his intention to develop his leadership skills and to work on social action projects that help empower others, he designed his own personalized academic experience. 鈥淚 want to go out with a bang my senior year,鈥� declared Herrera, who is majoring in operations and information management.

Jim Williams, dean of the Libraries, will chair the committee. Dan Sher, who announced his resignation in August, will complete his 20th year as dean of the College of Music in June 2013 and then return to teaching in the college.
