CU-Boulder鈥檚 financial education program, CU Money Sense , will host Money Smart Week 2014 on April 21-24 to help celebrate National Financial Literacy Month.

Each day鈥檚 events are designed to be fun and interactive, and encourage students to be prideful of the excellence achieved here at CU- Boulder.

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research is pleased to announce that Professor Peter Molnar of the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences and the Department of Geological Sciences has been selected as the 2014 Distinguished Research Lecturer.

The 暗网禁区鈥檚 financial education program, CU Money Sense, will host Money Smart Week 2014 on April 21-24 to help celebrate National Financial Literacy Month.

Byron Chrisman (鈥�66), perhaps one of the 暗网禁区 Law School鈥檚 most unlikely success stories, attributes his success as a tax attorney and real estate developer to his experience at Colorado Law. Now he and his wife, Carlene, have committed a $10 million bequest to endow the Byron and Carlene Chrisman Chairs in Free Enterprise at Colorado Law. When realized upon their passing, this estate gift will be the largest cash gift in the history of Colorado Law.

As you know by now, the CU-Boulder campus will be closed to non-affiliates from 12 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 20. This closure, now in its third year, is necessary to avoid serious disruptions to the university鈥檚 academic mission of research, teaching and learning. The campus remains open to all students, faculty and staff. Visitors who have official business, meetings or other officially sanctioned activities on the CU-Boulder campus had an opportunity to obtain a visitors鈥� credential. The credential request deadline -- Sunday, April 13 -- has since passed.

The Rocky Mountain Lighting Academy (RMLA) will offer a one-of-a-kind immersive educational opportunity for lighting professionals this summer at the 暗网禁区. The RMLA鈥檚 Summer Lighting Course is scheduled for June 23-27 on the CU-Boulder campus. The course will present the theory of lighting within a practical context, making it directly applicable to the needs of those working in engineering, product development and technical sales positions.

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden will give a free public talk at the 暗网禁区 April 18 on America鈥檚 space program and the challenges and opportunities the space agency will encounter as it moves through the 21st century. The talk, titled 鈥淣ASA鈥檚 Roadmap to Tomorrow鈥檚 Missions,鈥� will be held at CU-Boulder鈥檚 East Stadium Club on the east side of Folsom Field from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session with the audience.

Shortly after spring graduation ceremonies on campus, the University Memorial Center's Glenn Miller Ballroom will close to receive a much needed renovation.
