Record $10 million Colorado Law commitment will establish two faculty chairs

Byron Chrisman (’66), perhaps one of the Law School’s most unlikely success stories, attributes his success as a tax attorney and real estate developer to his experience at Colorado Law. Now he and his wife, Carlene, have committed a $10 million bequest to endow the Byron and Carlene Chrisman Chairs in Free Enterprise at Colorado Law. When realized upon their passing, this estate gift will be the largest cash gift in the history of Colorado Law.

Sunday, April 20: What you need to know about campus closure to non-affiliates

As you know by now, the CU-Boulder campus will be closed to non-affiliates from 12 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 20. This closure, now in its third year, is necessary to avoid serious disruptions to the university’s academic mission of research, teaching and learning. The campus remains open to all students, faculty and staff. Visitors who have official business, meetings or other officially sanctioned activities on the CU-Boulder campus had an opportunity to obtain a visitors’ credential. The credential request deadline -- Sunday, April 13 -- has since passed.

University of Colorado to offer course for lighting professionals June 23-27

The Rocky Mountain Lighting Academy (RMLA) will offer a one-of-a-kind immersive educational opportunity for lighting professionals this summer at the . The RMLA’s Summer Lighting Course is scheduled for June 23-27 on the CU-Boulder campus. The course will present the theory of lighting within a practical context, making it directly applicable to the needs of those working in engineering, product development and technical sales positions.

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden to visit CU-Boulder April 18

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden will give a free public talk at the April 18 on America’s space program and the challenges and opportunities the space agency will encounter as it moves through the 21st century. The talk, titled “NASA’s Roadmap to Tomorrow’s Missions,” will be held at CU-Boulder’s East Stadium Club on the east side of Folsom Field from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session with the audience.

UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom Renovation
