CU Boulder to honor veterans at Veterans Day ceremony Nov. 11

The °µÍø½ûÇø will honor the nation's veterans, including CU Boulder's own faculty, staff and student veterans, with a Nov. 11 Veteran's Day ceremony at 11 a.m. in the University Memorial Center's Glenn Miller Ballroom.

No health insurance? CU has you covered

With the fast-approaching Affordable Care Act mandate that individuals purchase health care, the University of Colorado will allow employees who have waived university medical plans and do not have health insurance to enroll in university plans. During Limited Enrollment, from 8 a.m. Nov. 11 to 5 p.m. Nov. 22, employees without insurance can enroll in CU medical plans. During next spring’s Open Enrollment, employees will be able to add dependents to their plans or add dental and vision plans. If employees waived CU Plans but have health care coverage, no action is needed.

CU psychologists to present resources for families struggling with behavioral concerns Nov. 13

Families seeking information about childhood psychiatric and developmental disorders are invited to a community open house with experts from the °µÍø½ûÇø and the University of Colorado School of Medicine on Wednesday, Nov. 13, on the CU-Boulder campus. Experts will address emerging research on early onset bipolar disorder, prevention of schizophrenia, postpartum depression, attention and behavior disorders, and autism spectrum disorders. Each researcher also will describe their community services.

By the University of Colorado Student Government As of 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, CU Student Government elections came to a close with the second highest fall voter turn out in recent CU history. This election was exceptionally close, with most candidates tallying in within a percentage point of their competitors, so every last vote counted in determining these results.
