Anonymous Donor Bolsters Support for Children, Youth and Environments Center for Research and Design University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center Chancellor Gregory Stiegmann announced today that the College of Architecture and Planning has received a $2.5 million gift from an anonymous donor to endow the Children, Youth and Environments Center for Research and Design (CYE). It is the largest gift by an individual donor in the history of the Denver campus.

MEDIA ADVISORY The Standing Committee on Research Misconduct at the University of Colorado at Boulder today sent its recommendations relating to possible disciplinary action and policy or other changes relating to the Investigating Committee's findings of research misconduct by Professor Ward Churchill. These recommendations were delivered by the Standing Committee to Interim Provost Susan Avery and Todd Gleeson, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. The report also was delivered today to Churchill and his attorney, David Lane.

Four CU-Boulder Profs Honored By College Of Arts And Sciences

Four University of Colorado at Boulder professors have been named College Professor of Distinction by the College of Arts and Sciences in recognition of their exceptional service, teaching and research or creative work. Professors Mark Ablowitz of applied mathematics, Robert Schulzinger of history and international affairs, Michael Tooley of philosophy and Thomas Veblen of geography received the new honorary title. The professors will hold the title during the remainder of their careers in CU-Boulder's College of Arts and Sciences.

HGTV To Film Segment On CU Solar Decathlon Home

A Home and Garden Television -- HGTV -- film crew is scheduled to visit the University of Colorado at Boulder June 22 to record a segment on CU's winning Solar Decathlon home for its new program "Look What I Did!" The filming, which is expected to take about six hours, will include interviews with CU students and faculty, a walk-through of the home in which interesting features are pointed out, construction demonstrations, "beauty shots" and footage of the team enjoying the home.

Black Holes To Be Explored At CU's Fiske Planetarium June 16-17

The mysteries of black holes, including what it would be like to fall into one, will be explored during two June shows at the University of Colorado at Boulder's Fiske Planetarium. CU-Boulder Professor Andrew Hamilton will present "Black Holes," a show intended for a general audience, on June 16 at 8 p.m. On June 17 at 9:30 a.m., he will present the CU Wizards show "Black Holes," which is geared toward students in grades five through nine. Both shows will be in the planetarium.
